Chapter 1, 2, and 3 Summary
In chapter 1, it explained mostly about how to open images from a Windows and a Mac into Photoshop. You go into the finder icon, and double-click on the image if it is connected to photoshop. Also, I learned how to open an image from photoshop by pressing "command" and "o." I also learned how to close images by saving it to my desktop or finder, and closing Photoshop.
In chapter 2, it explained about how to zoom in and out using the mouse, and that the closer you get, the more the pixels show because there is low resolution. The zoom tool makes it easier to get in an image without having to squint your eyes or try to eyeball it. Also, I learned to scroll to zoom in and out so I won't have to click on the zoom tool as much. I learned to switch between different images in Photoshop by clicking the tabs at the top of the program. The only bad thing is you can only work on one image at a time.
In chapter 3, I learned about how pixels work, and that they are tiny squares of color making an image. When you zoom in very closely on an image, for example 500%, you can see the little squares that you couldn't see when you looked at the image at 100%. I also learned how to downsample an image to print by reducing the pixels for printing. I learned up sampling is way different than downsampling because it's making more pixels instead of reducing it.
